PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS!!

It is essential that when a patient orders repeat medication that they allow 24 WORKING HOURS before attempting to collect at reception and a further 24 WORKING HOURS if you wish your  medication to be sent to a named chemist.  If you are ordering an acute item which might be deemed more urgent, it is important that you tell the receptionist so that this can be prioritised.  If you have asked for your medication to be collected at the chemist we would kindly ask that you would check with them first before presenting yourself to reception but again please allow a minimum of 24 WORKING HOURS!

THANK YOU

Influenza Vaccination 2019/2020

It’s that time of year when we ask people to come along to the surgery for a flu jab. The seasonal flu can be a serious illness for certain “at risk” people and everyone over 65 years of age (born before 1st April 1955). In addition flu vaccination is recommended for all pregnant women and anyone who is a main carer for an ill or disabled person at home. For these people the Government recommends an annual Influenza vaccination.  Also over the next few years the Department of Health plans to offer this to all healthy kids under 16 however this year we are offering vaccination to pre-school children (born 2/7/15– 1/9/17).

If you are eligible to get the flu jab you will receive a letter during the first week of October.  If you are unable to attend your clinic date and time you may contact reception to get an alternative.  Patients normally given the flu jab by the District Nurse will have their name passed over and you will not receive any correspondance and you can expect a Nurse to call.

If you missed you flu injection during the month of October when clinics were running you may telephone reception and get an alternative time to come for this vaccines.  We will run 2 short surgeries in December to accommodate these patients.
